Every Ministry Leader Needs This

A significant percentage of those who enter ministry become overwhelmed with the demands of ministry and financial stress, leading to burnout, compromise, or not remaining in pastoral ministry long term. Be proactive, prevent problems before they happen, and commit to consistent monthly renewal.

What To Expect:

What's our agenda? What do meetings look like? Is this just like a small group or Bible study? What can you expect in our EQUIP workshops?

  • Meetings are 2+ hours long, based on the needs of the group and coach's schedule. Join when able and leave whenever you need to.

  • We aim for cohort sizes of 8-12 people who meet the same day and time every month. Multiple options to choose from as network grows.

  • Groups exist to help you, and your ministry, thrive. To lend each other an ear, advice, prayer, word, encouragement, even actual support.

  • Ministries are only as strong and healthy as its leaders are. Our first priority is helping one another be godly, healthy, Spirit-led disciples.

  • "Ministry-type" focus will be what members are already doing or want to do. Topics that will be relevant and of interested to members there.

  • Just getting started? Not sure what kind of ministry you should do? Learn what others are doing and we'll help you figure it out together.

  • You can't see what you can't see. As we're honest and transparent, we can help each other see our blind spots and become our best.

  • We're not going to just talk! Your coach will help everyone be concise and focused, strategize, plan, and follow-through with accountability.

  • Depending on need, coaches may provide activities, worksheets, or exercises to do during the month to help you accomplish your goals.

  • Have questions or need advice or prayer during the month? Members can talk with their coach and cohort 24/7/365 in online community.

Benefits You Can Get Behind!

How will this improve your life and ministry? You will have:

  • A Safe Place To Be Vulnerable. Most pastors and ministry leaders don't want to confess their sins, or share their doubts, weaknesses, or challenges with the elders over them, the staff under them, or the people they counsel. As a result, many struggle in silence alone, and problems often go undiagnosed, or are more difficult to overcome, so they persist longer than they should. You'll benefit from an external, unbiased, and impartial support system.

  • A More Effective Ministry. Most pastors are surrounded by people too close to the conflict to be objective. We often need to get away from our compartmentalized situations to see them from an outsider's perspective. I'm not talking your unsaved uncle's perspective, but a counselor/coach/consultant/global Kingdom-minded one. This will improve your ability to solve problems, and have more focused goals you create action plans for and then accomplish.

  • A More Resilient Support System. Most pastors and ministry leaders are so busy serving others that they don't take care of themselves first. They tell their flock to be a small group but then they're not in one! They eventually burn out because they don't have a regular "Sabbath rest" where other people minister to, counsel, and pour into them. But leaders need it just as much, in fact, more. We need accountability to make progress in the things that matter most.

FAQ

  • How many people will be in the workshops?

There is no minimum. If you were the only person then you would get a very affordable coaching session! We aim for 8-12 active participants. As level 4 membership numbers grow, we'll add more workshops to the calendar based on total members. We will also provide multiple days/time slots to adjust for different availability, time zones, work schedules, etc. Members can see all available days/times and participate in multiple workshops to try the right fit, meet different people, etc.

  • What day and time are the workshops?

Currently, workshops are available on Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon, in the UTC-5 time zone. As new members join we will add workshops as needed and adjust the times based on the time zones of new members.

  • Why call it workshop instead of small group, cohort, or mastermind?

While small groups, cohorts, mastermind meetings, and workshops all involve group interaction and learning, they differ in their purpose, focus, and activities. Small groups and cohorts tend to have individuals with common characteristics and lean towards learning new skills and discussion. Masterminds tend to emphasize peer-to-peer support, accountability, and sharing of experiences and ideas to achieve common goals. In contrast, workshops have a variety of differing participants who only share in common the most fundamental purpose (e.g. the health and expansion of God's Kingdom). Workshops emphasize learning specific skills, identifying and diagnosing challenges, solving problems, or developing strategies through structured activities. Our EQUIP workshops embrace aspects of all four but their effectiveness will be measured by RESULTS: how well they're helping to equip participants to accomplish their life and ministry objectives.
